Non-Fiction

NOTE: The following book(s) is written in the style of fiction. I have invented characters to experience what it is that I hope the reader will learn about the several ways authors go about getting a book into print, as reported to their mentor. As the cover of the book states, “The Interviews are Fiction–the Paths are Real.”

Interviews. The primary objective of this book is help writers choose a productive path to publication. Some of the interviewees presented in the book discover that after a year and despite a grant they are no closer to “successfully” being published.

The paths taken by the characters in the book are meant to span the distance between pathetic to sad to humorous to successful. Let the reader beware of some paths and let him/her follow the one that is best for him/her.

It is designed to be easy, fun reading. But don’t under-estimate the value of its content. It should be available in the summer of 2012 as an eBook for Kindle. In the autumn of 2012, it is scheduled to be released as a pBook.

Followup: This book is still formulating in my head. It would take place one year after Interviews and would take the reader along the path(s) the two (or maybe just one) most successful student discovered. After all, I believe all writers want to become authors (published) and all authors want to be discovered by a target audience who will consistently purchase their books. There is no time to waste by charging down the wrong path.
